They are raised in our home so they are used to being around people and other pets. I handle each and every baby daily from birth, so my bunnies are very social and friendly. All of my bunnies get daily exercise (outdoors if weather permits) with plenty of space to run and play. My herd is fully vaccinated for pasteurella aka “snuffles”. I am a very small rabbitry so I can ensure quality care for each and every one of my rabbits. I decided to start raising rabbits and it quickly became my passion. I am a registered member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and I strive to breed quality pet rabbits! I have had bunnies most of my life! I got my first rabbit as a pet in 2000 and fell in love instantly. We know deep down you really love all these cute little bunnies as much as we do.Hey there! The junior buck we bought from them is now Grand Campion :) and the doe has produced some very nice rabbits.Ī great big "Thank You" to Mrs. Piper has also been very helpful when I had questions and needed advice. We also would like to thank Family Treasures Rabbitry for our first pair of Holland Lops. Ronnie and Dana (RD Rabbitry) are always there for support and advice and have become very good friends. Not only have they helped us get a good start in our Dwarf program, but they have been there for us when we had questions and concerns. We would like to thank Rayne Drops Rabbitry and RD Rabbitry Ranch for the very nice Netherland Dwarfs that gave us our start. She now has castor, white and black otter.
In January 2013 Larindy acquired her first mini rex rabbits. In Holland Lops, Larindy currently raises tort, blue tort, and broken blue. We currently raise Netherland Dwarf in black, REW, siamese smoke pearl, siamese sable, tort, chestnut, chinchilla, opal, black otter, black silver marten, and broken blue otter.
According to her, if I was going to all of these shows to bring her, I might as well bring some of my own also. When we started this project, only Larindy was showing but she finally talked me into getting my own colors of Netherland dwarfs to show in the open class. Larindy has helped a few new kids get started on their own rabbit projects for 4-H and ARBA. As we get more into our breeding program, we hope to have some nice quality rabbits for sale. Not only do we enjoy raising and showing our rabbits, but it's been a wonderful way to meet new friends and spend some quality "Mother/Daughter" time together.
We enjoy attending 4-H, ARBA and LRBA Shows. We were fortunate to be able to purchase some nice quality show/breeding stock from some very reputable breeders. After looking at all the breeds and asking many questions, Larindy decided that Netherland Dwarf and Holland Lop would be her new breeds. At that time, she only had a mix breed lionhead rabbit from a local feed/farm supply store. Larindy's first rabbit show was at our parish fair in October of 2010 as a 4-H project. The rabbitry is owned by Larindy and Monica Guidry. Our rabbitry is located in Southwest Louisiana.
